神宮で行われる大礼の神楽（大々神楽）についての研究考証書。漢字かな交じり。起源、古書に見える記述の考証、神楽の法式、神楽歌の歌詞考証。自序によれば、元禄年中の頃初めて行われるようになった大々神楽の式について、著者の老父が壮年の頃、古老に問い識者に習って編んだ書を著者に命じて増訂を加えた書。
