Translation

自生アリト云、木ハ椶櫚ニ似テ葉尤長大ナリ、一葉ノ長サ五六尺、蒂モ亦四五尺、三稜ニシテ刺アリ、椶櫚ノ葉ハ本ヨリ分レテ岐ヲナス、蒲葵ノ葉ハ本ハ続キ分レズ、故ニコノ所ヲ採テ笠トナスヲ蒲葵笠ト云、団扇ニ作ルヲ蒲葵扇ト云、舶来ノ蒲葵扇ハ旧葉ヲ用フ、厚シテ光リアリ、薩州ヨリ出ス者ハ嫩葉ヲ用テ作ル、薄シテ皺アリ、破レ易シ、柄モ葉ヲ用用ユ○按ニ（ルー）1182ニlivistoriaノ図アリ、頗ル賀氏本草ノ図ニ似タリ／【琉球草木帖】ニ蒲葵、枇榔、■■大■物産■ノ図録同、（ダンピ、抹消）
