全樹ヲ包繞スルヲ可トス、四月ニ至リテ尽ク其結果性枝条ヲ棑枝シテ直線ニ駢列セシメ、樹力漸々ニ吐盛シ、其新枝縦ニ突進シテ前面ニ弯出スルカ如キハ、前章ニ記スル所ノ法ニ随ヒ其尖端ヲ摘却シテ之ヲ予防スベシ、而テ一枝条ヲモ剪短スヘカラス、然レトモ全樹極メテ繁蔚ニ至リ、冗枝ノ果実ヲ蔭蔽スルコト有ルトキハ之ヲ剪除セサル可ラス、其際宜ク注意シテ結果性ヲ有スルノ明徴アル者、及明春ニ至リテ適当ニ棑枝シ得ベキノ目的アル者ハ択ヒテ之ヲ遺留ス可シ／白イチヾクハ果大ニシテ石榴ノ如シ、皮青肉酸味アリ、樹丈許ニ至リ、葉モ大也、【紀南六郡志】、熟シテ外皮白シ、芸州ニ多シト云
