使用セズ、然シ、細工材ニ周ユ建具師指物師ノ貴重スル材ナリ、又版木等ニ多ク使用ス、材質材質美ニシテ堅紋ナリ、薪炭ニスレバ上等ニアラズト雖モ随分貴重スヘキモノナリ、樹皮ハ柔靱（シナヤカ）ニシテ曲物ヲ縫ヒ及ヒ細割シテ種々ノ用具ヲ製ス、桜ノ実ハ山林ノ害ヲ為ス無血虫類ヲ駆殺スル、小鳥類ヲ養フ、故ニ目前ニ有益ハ知レザレトモ、暗ニ山林家ノ実益ヲ為ス尠カラズ、又実ヲ以テ酒ヲ製スベシ、又桜ノ老木ヨリ流出スル木液ハ護謨（ゴム）ヲ製シテ亜刺比亜護謨（アニヒアゴム）ト同様ノ用ニ供スヘシト云ヘリ
