旌桜、瑞龍村ニアリ、花蘂ノ裏ニ小針アリ、状旌ノ如シ、土人相伝フ堀川天皇ノ御宇源義家奥賊ヲ討メ凱旋ノ時此地ニ至リテ、士卒ヲ休息ス、義家桜樹ヲ以テ旌竿トス、旌ヲ挙ルモノ旌ヲ地ニタツ帰ル時其竿ヲ忘ル、竿根地ニ入テ萌芽ヲ生シ、明年花ヲ開ク、後人名ケテ旌桜ト云、常陸国記録名不知、写取、ハタザクラ
