Translation

Apricot、○杏（アンス）（洋名アツプライガツト）四種、右ハ七八月間に成熟ス、右菓実大ナルモノハ直往一寸五六分小ナルモノ一寸許形色数種ニシテ味美也、毎年菓ヲ結フコト夥多也｛開拓使製、朱書｝／アンヅ、廿六／杏、カラモモ、凡ソ草木ノ名ニカラヲモテ呼フモノハ其始韓地ヨリ来リシト見ヘシアリ、或ハ其似テ非サルモノヲ呼ヒテカラトイフ事トトヘハ漢人ノ胡ヲモテ物ニ名ツケシニ似タリトミヘシアリ、今俗ニアンズトイフハ漢音ヲモテ杏子ノ字ヲ呼ヒシナリ【東雅七】
