蕃盛今ニ照然ナリ、茲ニ思ヒキヤ、嘉永六癸丑年（徳川十二代家慶公慎徳院殿御時）アメリカ使節突然渡来シハジメテ外夷登営ヲ許サルヽノ事アリ、其年此親木スイニ腐朽立枯ト成テ柵ト共ニ跡カタヲ不見ハ実ニ可惜ノ事ナラズヤ、然ルニ接木益盛木今尚保存シ愛樹トスル、又不思議トヤ云ン、故ニ文飾ヲステ禿筆ヲ換舌トシテ愛樹ノ由来ヲ記シ置者ナリ、一白圃花友、名に愛は幾代経ぬらん挿し延寿
