Translation

由アルコトナリ、椿ハツハキニ非ス、近年寛文中舶来ス香椿也、本草記聞云、山茶ヲ椿ト書ハ誤也、椿ハ香椿即キヤンチン也、薬方雑記云、日本山茶花其国名為椿不名以山茶也、然レハ本邦ニテ山茶ニ椿字ヲ用ルコト習慣久シ、今改ルニ及ハス、花鏡ニ山茶釈名十九種ノ中ニモ石榴茶梅榴茶アリ、梅ハ海ノ誤ナルヘシ／タウツバキ、晴明
