Translation
馬蜂、ヲヽマルバチ、畿輔通志云、房千人簷宇、大者曰馬蜂、是赤竹蜂ノ類ニシテ最大ナル者、背黄色ニシテ尾黒シ、多ク人家簷宇ニ穴ヲ穿チ?ヲ作ル、又蜜ヲ醸シ卵ヲ生シ、其子長シ翅ヲ生シ于出ルマテノ糧トス、竹蜂ノ類皆此ノ如シ、竹蜂房、簷宇ニ竹筒アリ、其切口ヨリ蜂入ルコト数日ニ及フ、竹筒ヲ下シ割テ見ルニ中ニ蜜アリ、黄赤色滑沢、其味甘ク醸シ、其上小卵一ツヅヽアリ、松脂ヲ以テ其上ヲ塞キ、又其上ニ蜜アリ、卵アリ、其上松脂ヲ以テ口ヲ塞キ、蓋アルコト前ノ如シ
